Small-batch coffee roasting in a mountain kitchen

Small-Batch Coffee, Roasted with Care

At Pine Flat Roastery, coffee isn't just a drink—it's a craft. Every batch is roasted in our tiny mountain kitchen with full attention to detail, never rushed, never scaled beyond what we can personally tend to.

We focus on medium roasts that balance sweetness, origin clarity, and gentle acidity. Our goal is to highlight the natural flavors of the beans while developing rich caramelization for a smooth, satisfying cup.

Each roast is hand-charged into our drum roaster, monitored by sight, sound, and smell. We taste every batch before sharing it—ensuring the profile meets our standard of balanced, nuanced, forest-inspired coffee.

Whether you're brewing at home or stocking your rental cabin, we invite you to share the flavors of Pine Flat in every cup.

About This Coffee

Grown high in the misty Andes of La Argentina, Huila, this coffee comes from a group of small family farms perched between 5,250 and 6,200 feet above sea level. These producers farm with care and intention, following traditional methods passed down through generations — always in close connection to the land.

While not certified organic, the coffee is cultivated using time-honored practices that reflect deep respect for the environment. For these micro-lot farmers, formal certification is often out of reach, but their commitment to thoughtful, sustainable farming is clear in every detail — from handpicking ripe cherries to sun-drying the beans on raised beds under protective solar canopies.

The result is a beautifully clean and balanced cup with notes of cherry, praline, milk chocolate, and cream — a true reflection of Colombia's highlands and the quiet craft of its growers.
