What does roast‑to‑order mean?
At Pine Flat Roastery, roast‑to‑order means we do not roast our beans until you place an order. Each small batch is prepared specifically for you, one bag at a time, so you always receive the freshest coffee we can make.
Why freshness matters
Coffee benefits from rest after roasting. The preferred resting time varies with the coffee, roast and brewing method. Each bag carries its roast date so you can explore how its flavour develops.
Our roast & ship cadence
We roast in small batches at our roastery in Pine Flat, California (elevation 4,000 ft). Your order joins an upcoming roast; check checkout for the current roast and shipping timing before paying. Shipping is currently limited to California. Shipping dates describe carrier handoff, not arrival.
